P139 | Dredging & Reclamation

Project Summary

SYS was contracted by HRA Teguh Sdn Bhd to perform essential dredging works for the 2x700MW coal-fired power station at Lukut, Mukim Jimah, Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan.

The dredging process involved multiple stages: initially, the temporary jetty and trestle were dredged to -3.5 meters ACD to facilitate access for piling barges and marine vessels. This was followed by dredging a 1,000-meter long by 6-meter deep cooling water outfall to a -10 meters ACD contour for the installation of precast concrete culverts.

The vessel turning basin at the coal unloading jetty was then dredged to -19.5 meters ACD, and the cooling water intake channel was deepened to -5 meters ACD, with sandkeys extending to -12 meters ACD. A total of 931,800 cubic meters of seabed material was dredged and disposed of offshore

Under a separate RM31.9mil (plant & labour) contract, SYS also constructed the coal unloading jetty and temporary jetty for the power station.
