Project Summary

As part of the RAPID initiative, Petronas Refinery Petrochemical Corporation Sdn Bhd entrusted SYS with the EPCC of the Material Offloading Facilities (MOLF) Jetty at Teluk Ramunia. The RM 61.5 million project, carried out between September 2014 and September 2015, was crucial for the early preparation of offloading facilities to receive vital materials for the RAPID development. The project involved the construction and upgrading of several key marine structures, including Wharf C1, C2, A, and B, designed to accommodate large cargo operations essential for the refinery and petrochemical expansion.

The scope of work also included extensive dredging to create a 200-meter-wide approach channel, ensuring smooth vessel access, and the construction of new roads, internal drainage systems, and hardstand areas to support the facility’s logistics. The jetty was designed with heavy load capacity to support cranes of up to 250 tons, ensuring the MOLF’s ability to handle high-volume and high-weight materials.
