Project Summary
Awarded to SYS on 18th August 2021 and commenced on 1st October 2021, this project involves the construction of key intake and discharge infrastructure, including temporary cofferdams, cooling water intake pump stations, and twin pipelines (both onshore and offshore).
Significant dredging and disposal operations (424,000m³) were conducted alongside the installation of pipelines up to 380 meters offshore. The project also includes the fabrication and installation of intake heads, manholes, diffusers, and a permanent beacon platform for marine navigation

Temporary Cofferdams works for the following structures;
i. Intake Pit 58.6m(L) x 30m(W) x 24m(D)
ii. Seal Pit 32.5m(L) x 12m(W) x 21m(D)
iii. Onshore Intake Pipeline 100m(L) x 12m(W) x 24m(D)
iv. Onshore Discharge Pipeline 100m(L) x 12m(W) x 21m(D) - Construction of Cooling Water Intake Pump Station 57m(L) x 28m(W) x 18m(D) including complex Internal Concrete and Structural Steel Structures
- Construction of Seal Pit 30.7m(L) x 10.2m(W) x 15m(D) including Internal Concrete and Structural Steel Works
- Temporary and Permanent Dredging Works with Disposal Volume 424,000 meter cubic and Dump Site at 11 nautical miles.

Onshore Twin Pipelines:
i. Intake Pipeline 2600 milimeter diameter with 100 meter long
ii. Discharge Pipeline 2500 milimeter diameter with 100 meter long -
Offshore Twin Pipeline:
i. Intake Pipeline with 2600 milimeter diameter with 380 meter long
ii. Discharge Pipeline with 2500 milimeter diameter with approximately 300 meter long - Two(2) unit of Intake Head fabrication divided into four(4) large precast unit components connected at the end of Offshore Intake Pipeline
- 14 number of Manholes and 18 number of Diffusers laminated at Offshore Discharge Pipeline
- Installation of 1,000meter length 150mm diameter Chlorination pipe inside the Intake pipeline
- Construction of 1 unit Permanent Beacon Platform as navigation to the Mariners in accordance to the Malaysia Marine Department Requirement
