This involved dredging to the specified design layout and levels, followed by the disposal of dredged materials at approved dumping grounds located at Ramunia Shoals, approximately 37NM from the site. Given the concurrent operations at the shipyard, SYS was required to coordinate access for ongoing activities, including works, load-outs, and fabrications, as directed by MMHE. The dredged volumes consisted of 131,132 cubic meters of soil and 18,000 cubic meters of rock. Notably, as the depth increased, the dredged materials became more challenging, with rock samples tested at Geolab laboratory revealing hardness levels necessitating rock blasting.
