Project Summary

Kertih Marine Facilities comprise a jetty with six (6) berths, an island breakwater of 1.4m long and coastal protection scheme. The facilities were constructed to provide dedicated marine terminalling infrastructure necessary for the import and export requirements of the petrochemical complex in Kertih.

The project required dredging several areas to specific depths: the Northern Approach and Berth 6 basin to -10 meters, the Southern Approach and Berth 5 Basin to -13 meters, the Multi-Purpose Berth and Marine Supply Craft Berth to -5 meters, and the North of the Jetty to -5 meters. 

This was part of the provision of maintenance dredging for Kertih Port Sdn Bhd, managed by East Marine Works Sdn Bhd. The project was focused on dredging and was located in Kertih, Terengganu, running from April 2016 to August 2016.
