Project Summary

Located in Pengerang, Kota Tinggi District, Johor, the RAPID Project (Package 114-0500) is a significant marine infrastructure undertaking, part of the larger RAPID initiative by Petronas. The works encompassed the construction of a 639-meter storm water outfall, which included a reinforced concrete channel and extensive rock armour structures to protect the coastline. Major dredging, backfilling, and the installation of spun piles were carried out to ensure long-term stability.

Additionally, the project featured the installation of a twin 800mm HDPE pipeline for the Effluent Treatment Plant, extending 2,900 meters, both onshore and offshore. Coastal protection works, covering 5,300 meters, were implemented to safeguard the surrounding environment. This project stands as a testament to the expertise in marine construction, contributing to the sustainability and functionality of the RAPID initiative.
